Auxiliary Board
The purpose of the Auxiliary is "to render service to the McCall Memorial Hospital, its patients, and community, and to assist McCall Memorial Hospital in promoting the health and welfare of the community in accordance with objectives established by the governing board of the hospital". (Auxiliary Bylaws)

Auxiliary Board members represent a total membership of over 200. The formation of the Auxiliary on September 10, 1956 set in motion ever expanding "Circles of Caring".

Serving as ambassadors between the hospital and the community.
Fund equipment and other capital needs of the hospital through special
        event fund raisers; i.e. Home Tour, Holiday Happening, Memory Garden, and
        the sale of Christmas cards depicting local scenes.

Hospital Volunteer Program
       
Mission: "provide enriched care to patients and families, along with support
        to the hospital team."

       
Hospital Volunteers have been an integral part of the hospital team since
       1993. They support the hospital and community by enriching care to patients
        and their families.

        Current volunteers greet patients and visitors at the main hospital as well as
        the Allen-Nokes Center and Therapy Services. Volunteers transport patients,
        assist with food services, clerical work, staff Center for Health Promotion
        screenings, visit with patients and their families, provide a link between
        hospital staff and patients' families.

s      Personalized touches to the hospital patient care program.

s      Breast Care Clinic volunteer program and promotion of educational programs
       on women's health issues.

s      Offer support during multiple injury incidents.

s      Provide scholarship assistance for local individuals pursuing education in the
       healthcare field.

s      Auxiliary Thrift Shop - 216 Lenora Street
        The Auxiliary purchased and renovated the old post office building and
        opened for business in the new location July 1, 2000, after two years of
        renting a small building. The Thrift Shop is an all volunteer operation.

        Donations of clothing, jewelry, and household goods are appreciated and
        new volunteers are always welcome. The Thrift Shop has made a positive
        difference for our regional community.

Auxiliary Grant Program
        The grant program is made possible by a percentage of Auxiliary Thrift Shop
        proceeds. Applications are due annually on September 1st with funds
        awarded in November of the same year. The Auxiliary membership makes
        the final decision at their November meeting. Priority consideration is given
        to the Community Children's Medical Fund, adult mental health patient
        service, uninsured or under-served adults, and school health programs.

 

   

Board of Trustees
The McCall Memorial Hospital District Board of Trustees consists of seven elected volunteers representing the citizens of the district. This Board is the governing body for the hospital. Board committees include Planning, Finance, and Performance Improvement. Board liaisons connect the Foundation, Auxiliary, and Medical Staff.

     
   

Foundation Board
Foundation Board members work to: "assist the hospital in the performance of its mission to enhance the health of the community and advance medical excellence. This is accomplished now through directed giving and grants, and into the future through the development and management of the endowment".

The Foundation consists of volunteers working on the following: Finance, Annual Giving, Community Relations, Planned Giving, Primary Care Physician Recruitment Fund, Special Prospects, and Special Projects. An Advisory Board of part time McCall residents with expertise in philanthropy was created in 2000.
